Couple of months ago Apple has announced its all new iOS called as iOS 14 as beta version. Now Apple has released its iOS 14 for public availability as announced in its September Time Flies Event. iOS 14 supports iPhone 6S and upper versions, this is one of Apple's biggest iOS update as of date. Here are top features that are available as part of iOS 14.

Widgets on Home Screen
iPhone users can add widgets directly to the home screen similar to Android. iOS also allows users to choose different sizes and rearrange as they like. iOS also allows users to add a smart stack of multiple widgets to their home screen.



New App Library
iOS 14 update also introduced a new app library, with iOS 14 app library has now become smarter, it organized all your apps into one simple, easy-to-navigate view. iOS 14 sorts app based on the categories and frequently used apps are always on one tap away.



Compact Calls
iOS 14 makes things easier for those who receive frequent calls. With iOS 14, incoming calls will no longer take full display of your iPhone. Apple's Compact Calls, which displays all your calls from your iPhone, Face Time, and third-party apps in all-new compact design. The incoming call bar will now appear on top of iPhone allows you to answer or reject the receiving calls.



Messaging Feature
iOS 14 provides you to stay connected to the conversations. This new update allows users to pin 9 most important conversations on top, with customizing group conversations with Animoji, photos, and Memoji.
iOS 14 also provides Inline Replies that helps users to reply directly to a specific message ina conversation something similar you could have seen in whatsapp.
In group conversations, iOS allows users to tag/mention others through @Mentions feature and direct message to a group participant.



Picture-in-Picture (PIP)
Much anticipated PIP mode is now available for iOS users with iOS 14. With PIP enabled, users can view videos or continue Face Time calls while using other applications.


Maps
Maps in iOS 14 got new features, the new maps will show users about electric vehicles routing, cycling directions, etc., Adding to this Apple is also working with trusted brands and partners to offer guides for great places worldwide.
iOS 14 also allows users to rate the place and upload location images through maps.



HomeKit Accessories
HomeKit and Home Apps didn't get any redesign, However Apple has made some significant improvements, introduced a smart feature called "Suggested Automation" which suggests you relevant automation


Privacy Options
iOS 14 stops apps in tracking your precise location and gives users more control over the data that you share with apps. App Store app pages shows users about the developers self reported privacy practices.
iOS 14 allows users to share approximate location to apps instead of exact location. The privacy option also includes with status bar indicator that blinks when ever other apps uses microphone and camera



Download Updates on Cellular Data
The most useful feature for the users who don't have Wi-Fi connectivity at their places. iOS 14 allows users to download app data, SIRI voices, and any other downloads via mobile data

Some other features include updated App Arcade mode, Exposure Lock on Camera, Redesigned Game Center, Sleep tracking in Health app and more.
